Rules
·Open to all individual students, not teams.
·Decide on a topic of interest as the area for research. The study can be wide ranging – for example, a study of the history of weaponry, or the gods of ancient Egypt, or Euclid and his geometrical theorems….
·Submit your proposed topic to Miss Sangster.
·Identify focus questions to narrow the topic e.g. rather than looking at, say, the Olympic Games in broad detail, you could look at the history of the decathlon, or even study the differences between the classical and modern Games.
·The work may take place out of school or any free moments you may have at school.
·The project is expected to be no bigger than 1500 words with appropriate illustrations, any format—poster, booklet etc.
·Completion date, November 30th.
·An outside evaluator to mark these and select the winner for the prize at the end of the year.
