Food Technology: Pizza

Pizza

 

Ingredients

 

2 teaspoons dried yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

125 ml warm water

 

1¾ cups white flour

1 tablespoon oil

½ teaspoon salt

 

Method

 

  1. Put yeast, sugar and warm water into a medium sized bowl and leave for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, oil and salt.  Knead 10 minutes.
  3. Put dough in a greased bowl, grease the top and cover with a tea towel.  Leave in warm place or 50 degree Celsius oven for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out and place on greased tray.  Cover with tomato paste then toppings.  Finish with grated cheese.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 220 C.
