The week ended on a massive high for our two SWIS chess teams. What a week! It started with our SWIS cross country day. Or as we chose to call it: The Spongebob sweaty pants event and the Spongebob patchy pants event. Students wanting a challenge signed up for event 1, which this year was twice around the course and both year levels got to run together. The 2nd event had nearly the whole school entered! We don’t know who had more fun on the day, those using the water guns and sponges, those trying to pass by without getting splashed...or the ones who got drenched. ... See MoreSee Less

Today, I was in a French class and the students were cooking up some incredibly delicious dishes. Our Pacific Island students have made a wonderful start for Polyfest next term. They have been learning actions to put together in a slap dance and for a siva. Once we have our items finalised, we will be able to offer practices for any SWIS students interested in joining Polyclub. Aftersch trainings are now happening at school! Basketball on Mondays in the hall and hockey on Thursdays on the turf. Soon all the netball teams will be training too.
