Newsletter Jun 19 | Term 2, Week 6

This issue covers:

  • both the SWIS and WRISSA Cross Country Events
  • Regional Chess Tournament Review
  • Student’s perspective on Mental Health and the issues young people face
  • An insight into what the teachers are fighting for and how it will benefit your children.

Mental health is a big problem for kids and we think it’s better to come forward and address this because keeping silent doesn’t get any of us anywhere, no matter how hard talking about it might be.

Thinking of sending your child or children to South Wellington Intermediate School in 2020, then come along to the SWIS Open Evening on Tuesday 6 August. The evening will begin in the hall at 6 p.m. before families will get the chance to tour the school and see some of what makes SWIS a great choice for your child.
While touring the school you will have the opportunity to meet with our teachers and discuss our semi spec programme that includes Science, Health and P.E., Electives, Technology and Arts.
