You may have seen a lot of information about mask use at school in the media this week. The Government has changed its position on this and is asking for schools to implement a mask use policy for staff and students.
With this in mind, and while we see what guidance the Ministry of Education and the Government provides, please note that from Monday 25 July students, staff and visitors to SWIS will be required to wear masks while inside the buildings.
We will have plenty of masks, both adult and student sized, for use and I have made sure to have ordered more. The use of masks will be in place for the first 4 weeks or term and will be reviewed on Friday 19 August.
If you or your child has a mask exemption, then this is still in place and there is no change regarding this.
I will send out more information on Monday or once I have received further guidance.
