Enrolment Information for SWIS

The Enrolment Process

Thank you for choosing South Wellington Intermediate School.  We are really excited to be a part of your child’s intermediate schooling.

To start the enrolment process, you can complete the Enrolment Form online.

You will also need to email to enrolments@swis.school.nz

  • A copy of your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Or a copy of your child’s Certificate of Identity, Permanent Resident Visa or Study Visa details
  • AND your child’s immunisation records.

This enrolment process will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Once you’ve enrolled your child, there are a number of administrative things you will need to do as part of your child’s enrolment or at some stage during their time at SWIS.

Parent Portal

The Parent Portal has all information you need including:

  • Term dates and timetable info
  • Our uniform
  • The stationery list for this year
  • School payments and donations information
  • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) information
  • Police vetting info

Enrolment Agreements

There are two agreements that you and your child must understand and agree to follow as part of the SWIS enrolment process.

The enrolment form includes sections for each agreement—ticking them confirms that you and your child have read and understood them. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Activities Outside of School Grounds

South Wellington Intermediate makes the most of our local environment to enrich learning, including visits to Wellington Zoo, Martin Luckie Park, Macalister Park, and Newtown Park.

Students will need permission to take part in activities beyond the school grounds. These local trips are on foot, with appropriate adult supervision, and we’ll let parents know in advance whenever possible.
